Green Day in the Old East Village has a bit of history now. Since the inception
of the Old East Village Community Association we have been an enthusiastic supporter
and participant. Why, even this page is green
;-)
This year is no exception.
Here are the details of this year's Green Day
in the Old East Village.
Saturday May 2nd, 2009 - 9:00 AM until the compost is gone...

Enter at the English Street drive way and exit

Compost, Mulch and More!
Compost - Tested, mature and inexpensive!
$2.50 per 30L bagful.
$2.00 per 30L - if you bring your own bag/container.
Mulch - Also inexpensive - and by popular demand!
$2.50 per 30L bagful.
$2.00 per 30L - if you bring your own bag/container.
How much compost is a thirty litres bag? It takes about two bags to fill a garden wheelbarrow.
Rain Barrel
$50 each.
Composting Bin
$30 each.
All proceeds will go to support the activites of the Old East Village Community Association.
The compost is donated by Try Recycling - a local recycling and waste management comapny.
The mulch is donated by the City of London - at no cost.
The discounted price on the compost bins and rain barrels is made posible by Summers Home Hardware on Hamilton Road.
Do you have a high school student in need of community service time? We would love
to have their help! All volunteers will be provided lunch and water. There will
also be a mulch bagging party on Friday evening May 2, 2008 starting at 6pm at the
back tarmac at Lorne Ave Public School. Please bring a shovel. This is a fun community
night to get ready for a big busy day.
